The extraordinary true story of the first and last Nazi to be captured and prosecuted in Britain.
Andrei Sawoniuk was a Belorussian peasant; illiterate and poor. Collaborating with the invading Nazis when they took over his village in 1942, he became a cruel and vicious mass murderer. His crimes were so severe that after the war the KGB assigned 15 agents to track him down but he escaped and was never found. It would be over fifty years before he was finally caught and brought to trial at the Old Bailey in London in 1999.
